Scriptural Foundations
One God
- Worship One God:
Romans 11:36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
- Serve One God:
Romans 12:1 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship.
One Truth
- Remain in One Truth:
John 15:4 Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in Me.
- Proclaim One Truth:
Colossians 1:28 We proclaim Him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.
One Community
- Unite as One Community:
1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises, of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
- Reach One Community:
Matthew 28:19-20 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.
How to Measure Success in Accomplishing the Vision
One God
Worship:
- Are we lifting Jesus’s Name on high as a church?
- Are we faithfully worshipping Him in spirit and in Truth?
Serve:
- Are we faithfully giving to God’s church and ministry?
- Are we faithfully serving God and His people?
One Truth
Remain:
- Are we faithfully learning the Word of God?
- Are we faithfully applying the Word of God?
- Are we faithfully maturing and bearing fruit?
Proclaim:
- Are we faithfully teaching the Word of God in the church?
- Are we faithfully proclaiming the Gospel to individuals around us?
One Community
Unite:
- Are we loving each other?
- Are we creating and maintaining a loving culture in the church?
- Are we praying for, supporting, and encouraging one another?
Reach:
- Are we proclaiming the Gospel together to the community?
- Are we making and raising disciples?
Weekly Sunday Service – Free Bibles, Free Children’s Books & Toys, Free Gospel Tracts – Sharing the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ – that’s how everyone came to our church – one of them was recently baptized on Sunday
Discipleship Training – 4 weeks newcomer’s class, 4 weeks membership class, one mandatory reading, one optional reading, testimony, gospel memorization test, 3 day retreat, 5 week baptism candidate training
Evangelism Explosion – 13 week evangelism/discipleship training – how to become a disciple maker and share the gospel
Weekly Bible Study – Wednesday (South LA) Friday (North LA) – Opening up our house to share the gospel and teach the truth
